For the first time Taiwanese designers featured as keynote speakers. A part of Studio Ivanova's ongoing initiative Taiwan by Design which aims to promote and popularise Taiwanese cultural heritage and design excellence internationally. We introduced specially researched projects that illustrate the influence of local craft traditions on new Asian design practices.

Stony Cherng, whose practice is profoundly grounded in her cultural heritage, is one of Taiwan’s most successful designers. Over a career spanning 35 years as a commercial designer, industry leader and educator, Stony has earned many accolades, including Best Design Company, Gold Dot Design Award, National Design Award. She founded the Taiwan Graphic Design Association.
As a pioneer of digital art in Taiwan, LIN Pey-Chwen has long used the graphic media, digital prints, 3D animation, interactive technology and other scientific media to reproduce the contemporary vigilance picture under digital reproduction technology and create a contemporary “Apocalypse Revelation" to metaphorize humanity.

Ken-Tsai Lee is a designer, visual director of Taiwan Designers’ Week and regional representative of the New York Art Directors Club and New York Type Directors Club. Mentored by Japanese master Shigeo Fukuda, Lee established his studio in 1996. His work has been recognised by Design for Asia, D&AD, New York Type Directors Club, New York One Show, Tokyo Type Directors Club, Hong Kong Designers Association, Red Dot Design, Communication Arts & Graphis.
Apex Pang-soong Lin is widely regarded as the most influential image-maker and design educator in Taiwan. Former Director, Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University. He has been honored with the ICOGRADA Achievement Award and the Red Dot award for communication design, amongst many other accolades.
